All About Wudu Ablution Activity Book

This activity book designed for young children is informative, engaging, and entertaining. Presented in a fun style with spaces for colouring, placing stickers, and with provisions to give ‘stars’ after the completion of each activity, this book is a wonderful way to introduce children to wudu’ (ritual ablution). A page is devoted to one aspect of wudu’, beginning from what wudu’ is and why it is important, to all of the constituent acts required to perform wudu’. A small box mentions the status of the act, whether it is fard (obligatory) or sunnah (recommended). A brief explanation highlighting the significance of, and difference between, fard and sunnah would have been a welcome addition. Notwithstanding this, the book does a good job in instructing its target audience in the correct way to perform wudu’. It is marred, however, by repeated use of the word ‘make’ in conjunction with wudu’, which detracts from its spiritual aspect....
