Review
This review was written during a period of national divisive debates on the relationship of the UK to the European Union, and against a backlog of international tensions. Richard Park asks in this study what holds pluralistic societies together when they may not even agree on what the “Common Good” means. Park advances the thesis of the human good being based upon Christian Catholic and Muslim thought with essential human qualities, arguing that profound theological reflection is necessary to resolve the collapse of civil order.
