The author, Shamsuddin Usmani Tabrez, an academician and academic administrator, has produced several works on Islam in both English and Urdu. His earnest effort has all along been to promote a better understanding of Islam and its faith and practices, the Qur’an and the Sirah. The work under review seeks to project the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) as the benefactor of mankind, as is evident from the subtitle of the book.
